Whistler Downhill Whistler for the Summer
Whistler Downhill It’s been about 4 weeks now since the downhill lifts have opened here at Whistler and I have been loving every bit of it. It took a while to get used to the size of everything over here…the jumps are bigger, the drops are bigger, the berms are bigger; everything is just so much bigger. It didn’t take me long to get used to it all and now I can’t wait for the rest of the park to open. With all riding comes some good crashes…
Whistler for the Summer The riding here is just amazing, from 3m high ladders across creeks to slippery rock face descents running for 100m and gnarly rock garden descents, whistler was all plus much more than I had expected. With endless kilometers of single track weaving through the never ending forests, there is no where else I’d rather be right now, and these are only the cross country trails…I’m sure the downhill has many more surprises.

Whistler for the Summer

So the adventure has started! I am now sitting in a peaceful apartment in Whistler village listening to the rain fall gently against the window looking out onto Blackcomb Mountain. Most nights we get a bit of rain here but the rest of the time the weather is pretty good, a little on the cold side though. I arrived late Wednesday night after a draining 24 hours of traveling and have spent the last few days unpacking and settling in.
